Therios Breeds (half-beasts)
Half-Beasts are mostly man and part beast. The beast-like features include long hair, cat eyes, long sharp nails, and extended limbs. Therios from the Incian Sphere take the form as either canine known as Wolva or feline known as Fexi. They are slightly shorter than a man but are a good bit stockier. Their coats are thick and protective from nature and can range in a wide variety of earthy colors.
No one knows exactly where they came from. None of the Gods has ever admitted to creating them, but it seems that they have been on Terres as long as men have. Most don't exactly fit into human society so they roam the countryside looking for adventure and fortune. Silpen are commonly seen associating with Half-Beasts. Maybe because they represent physically what Siplen Kai represent magically. Since Therios look so different and animal-like, some people mistake them for shifters or beasts. In some areas this has led to an attack first and ask questions later approach. Some exotic looking females are pressed into slavery and can fetch a high sum on the black market. Not surprisingly Therios tend to be cautious, terse, or standoffish when traveling alone or meeting new people.
Though Therios like to move around, they know when to settle down when they have a good thing. Some are generals in Terres armies and others lead religious cults. Wolva can worship any god, but are often seen worshiping the Gods of the Moon, Ocean, and Forest. Many are established sailors and serve as crew on ships or even officers. They are strong swimmers and seem at home on a ship. Since half-beasts have no homeland they tend to wander until they find a suitable or safe place to settle. Due to their nomadic life style, Therios generally do not have the opportunity to learn in an academic fashion. They are most often self taught or draw their powers from sheer talent and will. In combat Therios fight quick and hit hard. They rely on their instincts and are agile on their feet. Their natural claws can rend armor and means they are always armed. They try to use the terrain and their natural elements of the and to give them an edge in combat and while fighting in forests the are often seen leaping into trees or from trees.
