Silpen Kai (mana elf)
Silpen Kai are elves that stand taller than humans (but not by much) and are much thinner. Silpen means fused with mana, and Kai means enlightened or elf. Elves live long lives and take time to learn the most involved techniques of any trade. Hence Elven goods are extremely expensive and beautiful to behold. Many a man had died fighting over Elven artifacts, and it even seems that Elven magical items have a strange draw over men.
Siplen are often seen as arrogant and to be honest they are arrogant. However, it does not come without reason. Elves are superior in almost every way, but a very important way; they lack numbers. One elf in battle must stand against 2 men or 3 Orkis. Often the Elf wins, but sometimes they don't. For this fact, Silpen do not live across vast landscapes. They live in their cities where every Elf can be watched and cared for. When a Silpen caravan does have to travel, it will go completely prepared with many capable defenders. Often five Silpen are worth 20 Orkis.
Not surprisingly their architecture and ship building is amazing. Their sea going vessels are extremely complex and are the fastest and most maneuverable on the water. Elven fortresses often stand on the shores of massive forest rivers. Many men have stared in amazement as beautiful blue-hewn ships sail into the ivory towered fortress ports.
Elves have magic fused to their core, and as an elf uses their mana in combat or to cast spells, they feel the drain on their bodies. Elves use mana to its fullest, choosing to learn manainfused combat powers. This helps to offset their physical weakness. Not surprisingly, elves have some of the best spell casters ever to walk on Terres.
Siplen can worship any god, but will usually choose to worship gods of Dreams, Heart, and Secrets due to their methodical analysis of nature, magic, and flesh. However, they tend to take a more philosophical approach to worship choosing to recognize internally over extroverted offerings.
